It’s a 1956 Gibson Les Paul Junior in tobacco sunburst. The serial # is 6111XX. We acquired this guitar from Teddy Rondinelli, guitarist with the Vanilla Fudge.
What can I say…this guitar is a SCREEEEEAMER. The previous owner is a great player and a true LP Junior aficionado. This is just one of those rare Juniors with the perfect combination of a buttery playing neck and a thick-as-molasses, ballsy P-90 pickup…it’s truly a mountain of a guitar. Leslie would be proud. The pickup reads 7.90 k ohms measured at the output jack.
The guitar weighs in at a scant 7lbs 6 oz. The original frets have plenty rock ‘n’ roll left in them. The truss rod works as intended. The guitar will ship in a non-original later Les Paul hard case.
