John
Bertsche
John
Bertsche has been playing guitar for over 40 years. He is an extremely
accomplished musician, writer, and producer with several gold and
platinum album credits to his name. John’s musical talents have
enhanced the work of such well-known artists as Maura Fogarty (“Color
of My Heart”), M2M (“Shades of Purple”), Aaron Carter
(“Aaron’s Party”), Hanson, Catherine Davies, Babelfish,
Bari Koral, and Leslie Mills, among others. |
| At
the same time, his innate musical curiosity about the inner workings
of guitars prompted him to learn the fine art of repairing them.
Over the past 35 years, he has mastered everything from amazingly
playable setups to neck resets. His skill at every aspect of guitar
repair, whether he’s doing fantastic fret jobs or repairing
broken headstocks, has earned him a well-deserved reputation among
major recording artists--as well as those who just wish they were.
Some of his appreciative customers include Bruce Kulick of Kiss,
Johnny Gale, Russ Titleman (producer of many Eric Clapton recordings),
Dicky Betts, Lee Roy Parnell, Greg Rzab, Craig Chaquico, members
of the Charlie Daniels Band, and David Sanchez. More recently, John
has worked with As Tall As Lions, Phil Grande, Mark Cimino, Guitar
Pete, Danny Miranda (Queen), Russ DeSalvo, Adam Holland and Envy
on the Coast.
Best
of all, he is a very good listener. John has the ability to interpret
players’ complaints in order to pinpoint and solve their problems.
No one but John is ever entrusted with handling the very delicate
setups on We Buy Guitars’ own vintage instruments.
Once
you’ve experienced a John Bertsche setup, you won’t
be able to settle for anything less!
